Benjamin Fish Austin (Sept 10, 1850 – Jan 22, 1933) — Canadian educator, author, Methodist minister turned prominent spiritualist. Principal of Alma College (1881–1897), advocate for women’s education and social reform, expelled from the Methodist Church in 1899 for his Spiritualist beliefs; later edited Reason magazine and published widely on religion, social justice and women’s equality.
