    • Of New York. A native of America, Wiltsee lived at Philipse Town, fourteen miles from Albany. He had 120 acres (sixteen cleared) on Rensselaer’s Manor, but had no lease. Wiltsee joined the British in August 1777, serving for the rest of the war. A scout, he piloted parties of Loyalists under Captain Sherwood. Wiltsee settled afterwards at Prescott, Canada. He estimated his loss at £120 sterling, and was awarded £50 sterling.

      He was a captain in the British Army; founder of the town of Wiltsetown(now known as Athens). Recognized as UE Loyalist.
