Walter Armstrong

Walter Armstrong, 1888-1958

  • Born in Poplar Point, Manitoba.
  • In 1911 census, living with parents in Vancouver, working for CPR as telegraph operator.
  • Moved to Vancouver Island in 1912 and worked for CPR as a railway agent in Duncan, Nanaimo, Parksville and Ladysmith until he retired i 1948.
  • Had been living the previous 10 years at Station Road in Coombs.
  • Buried in St. Anne’s Anglican Church  Cemetery, Parksville, British Columbia. 
  • Loyalist Ancestor: Jesse Bigelow, 1764-1801, Lyn, Leeds, Upper Canada, British Colonial America.
