  • Medical graduate of McGill University.
  • Came to B.C. in 1886 as mail clerk on the first C.P.R. train to Vancouver. 
  • One-time medical superintendent at Royal Jubilee Hospital. Previously medical superintendent at Chemainus Hospital for 30 years. 
  • Served overseas with Canadian Medical Corps during WW I. 
  • Loyalist Ancestor: Loyalists Daniel Burritt, 1735-1827, and James Rogers, 1728-1790, Major, Lieutenant Colonel of Militia post-Rev, Napanee, Ont.
