- •Born in Penetanguishene and moved to Sault St. Marie as a boy.
- •A big, rugged defenseman.
- •George and his brother, Howard, were known as the “Dynamite Twins” from their bone-crunching body checks.
- •Won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Toronto Blueshirts in 1913-14.
- •Played on the Toronto 228th (Northern Fusiliers) Battalion (NHA) team composed entirely of troops for the 1916-17 season.
- •Went overseas in early 1917.
