    • Alexander McLean was born in February 14, 1793 in St. Andrews, Cornwall Township, Upper Canada and died on 16 April 1875 in Cornwall Township, Ontario. He was the son of Hon. Neil McLean UE, 84th Royal Highland Emigrant and Isabelle Macdonell. Member of the Legislative Council of Upper Canada. Educated at Rev. John Strchan. Presbterian. Merchant, farmer, public servant. Granted 500 acres, boiught 200 acres and two town lots in Cornwall. Lived in Cornwall, first regiment, Stormont Militia, 1812-13, wounded 1813, Lt, Royal Newfoundland regiment, MHA, Stormont, 1837-41, Conservative.
