- After retiring from farming, lived in Medicine Hat for a period.
- Moved to Victoria in 1929. Celebrated 50th wedding anniversary on October 24, 1935. Parents of Victoria UELAC member Roy Luther Manzer.
- Loyalist Ancestor: John Manzer, 1751-1847, settled at Nashwaak, York, New Brunswick.
- Mrs. Charlotte (Lottie) nee MacBean Manzer also descended from UEL. Loyalist ancestor: Angus McBean, 1758-1826, settled in St. Marys Parish, York County, New Brunswick.
