• In the 1911 and 1921 census, married, 51 years, living at home (106 Moss Street) with wife and five children, occupation was woodworker. 
• In Obituary, notes that started S.J. and Son undertaking business on Quadra St. in 1926. 
• Eventually, lived at 1917 Hampshire Road.
