  • Born in East Whitby, Durham County, Ont.
  • 1911 census, with wife and three children.
  • Various occupations around agriculture including farm instructor in Fort Pitt, Sask. in 1891 and government agent in Innisfail, Alta. in 1916.
  • Moved to Sidney in retirement.
  • Buried at Holy Trinity Cemetery, North Saanich. 
  • Loyalist Ancestor: Captain Michael Grass, 1735-1813.  Settled in Kingston, Ont. Very high-profile leader of first settlers in the Kingston / Bay of Quinte area.
