In 1902, bought a liquor license for “Queens Hotel”, north west corner of Johnson and Store.
Was president of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie # 12.
1910 article in newspaper asked “if he collected money from Chinatown so that they get protection from illegal gambling. Replied “It is false in every particular, I am just there to sell goods.”
