• Born in   St. Catherine’s, Ontario. First lived in Stewart and then Alice Arm. 
• In the 1921 census, 36 years, married,  three children, living in Alice Arm in the Skeena region of B.C., occupation was Member of Parliament for Provincial Government. 
• Liberal member of Parliament from 1920-1936.
• Loyalist Ancestor: Stephen Emmett, 1767=1852. George Bowman 1731-1803, John Darby 1734-1784.
