George Alexander Keefer, 1836-1912
- Born in Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry, Ontario.
- From 1875 to 1886, engineered surveys for a projected rail line through the Yellowhead Pass that later became the Canadian National Railway line.
- Was appointed, in 1900, Engineer in British Columbia of the Dominion Public Works Department.
- Keefer Street in Vancouver and Keefer Station in Fraser Canyon were named after him.
- Buried at Ross Bay Cemetery.
