• Was widely known and highly regarded in Port Perry where she lived most of her life. 
• Had just moved to Victoria three years before her passing in 1913. Husband had passed in 1898. Lived at Eldon Place in Saanich, B.C.
• Loyalist Ancestor: Jesse Purdy, 1749-1817, Brockville, Ontario.
