Alfred Bruce McNaughton

Alfred Bruce McNaughton, 1882-1950

  • Born in New Westminster, B.C. 
  • Alfred’s father Charles, jeweler and watchmaker, died of tuberculosis in New West after three years of illness. His mother Sarah returned to live near her family in Victoria West and had 303 Langford St (Heritage House) built on some of the family’s property. The January 1, 1891, Victoria Daily Colonist reported that the house cost $2,400. Alfred grew up in this house.  
  • Served with the 88th Battalion in WW I.
  • With brother Charles, had dentist partnership in Trail in 1921 census.
  • Buried at Ross Bay Cemetery at McNaughton family plot. .Loyalist Ancestor: Bartholomew Musgrave, 1757-18.
