- Born in Montreal, grew up in North Bay, Ontario.
- As a 14-year-old he joined the Cobalt Mining League.
- He enlisted in the 228th Battalion in 1916 and two years of military service during World War I.
- Played five seasons in NHL. Also played 10 seasons with Edmonton Eskimos of WCHL (Western Canadian Hockey League).
- Buried at Royal Oak in Victoria, B.C.
