- Married to William John Irvine (Long Gun Jack) who in 1851 was the first non-aboriginal person born in Victoria.
- His father John Irvine was an employee at Hudson Bay Fort.
- Long Gun had great skill at hunting with a flintlock rifle. When he was 12 years old; he brought home many varieties of birds and animals.
- Both are buried at St. Luke’s on Cedar Hill Road, Saanich.
