- 1832-1893
- Came to Nanaimo in 1858. An architect and builder, had projects including a Dunsmuir residence and a major addition to the Provincial Court House.
- Once prominent and one of the wealthiest men in the city, he won the 1877 provincial by-election and served with Premier Walkem. He later won a Federal Seat for Vancouver Island.
