Charles Grant Blairfindie Allen (Feb 24, 1848 – Oct 25, 1899) — Canadian science writer and novelist, promoter of evolution, Oxford-educated, and pioneer of early science fiction. Author of The Woman Who Did, The Evolution of the Idea of God, and The British Barbarians; noted for controversial views on marriage, religion, and time-travel fiction. Great‑grandson of a United Empire Loyalist.
