- Born in Victoria, B.C. in 1877. Both parents were United Empire Loyalist Descendants and are included in the 1881 Census.
- In 1921 Census, living at 1790 Beach Drive, Oak Bay, 44 years, married with five children and servant.
- Was an early member of the Victoria Branch of United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada. Active on Victoria UELAC Executive in 1938.
- Like his father, operated E.B. Marvin & Co. at 1202 Wharf St. closely connected to early sealing industry on west coast.
- Prominent yachtsman & executive member of Royal Victoria Yacht Club.
- Buried at the Ross Bay Cemetery, Victoria.
- UE Loyalist Ancestor: Captain Ebenezer Slocum, 1750-1827 & Captain Isaac Gerow, 1742-1778 and Josiah Fowler, 1725-1808.


The Victoria Branch of the UELAC will have its 100th Anniversary in 2027. In preparing for this anniversary, the Branch is seeking any additional information and descendants of the original 100 founders and members of the association of 1927 – 1939.
