Roblin, Owen

  • From: Voyage of a Different Kind by Larry Turner:
    • Owen Roblin had a farm in the Cornwall precinct in Orange County. During the war he was imprisoned and kept in irons for 13 weeks. He joined the British in 1779 and like his brother, was employed in the Barrack Master’s Department. He later served in some outposts and may have been present at the defense of the Block House of Bergen Wood. The Roblins may have been of English or Welsh background. Owen Roblin signed with Captain Ruttan and settled in Adolphustown with his teenage son Owen Roblin Jr.
