  • Profile notes:
    • Reuben Mott was born in Dutchess County, New York in August, 1758. His parents were Jonathan Mott and Hannah Bailey. 
    • He was in  Jessup’s Rangers.
    • His first wife was named Hannah.
    • In 1784 Reuben appeared on the provisioning list for disbanded troops as a member of the Loyal Rangers. He was mustered in Elizabethtown (now Brockville), Leeds County, Ontario.
    • 1797 Elizabethtown census:
    • Reuben, Judah, Patience, Elizabeth, Lois, Margaret, and Reuben, Jr. 
    • In 1802, Reuben was granted 100 acres in Leeds County.
    • During the War of 1812, Reuben, Jr. served in the Leeds County Militia.
    • Reuben died on January 16, 1839.
