- Among the many young men and boys who took up arms for the Crown during the conflict, Farrington Ferguson is recognized in historical archives as one of the youngest documented Loyalist soldiers. He was a mere teenager when he fought in the war and, following the conflict, settled in Ontario where he married Elizabeth Cole in 1789 and raised a massive family of 16 children.
