    • Early Life: Born in the Province of New York, his family worked as farmers before joining the King’s Army in 1777 to support the British Crown. 
      Post-War Settlement: Following the American Revolution, Conrad Best relocated his family to Canada, securing land in Ernestown Township (Lot 15 and Lot 19) along the St. Lawrence River.
